The ultimate freedom academy for adults
– Members are allowed to come and leave as they wish. There are no strict rules about arriving late or leaving early. Just come! Even if you can come for 45 minutes, it’s better than nothing.
– Members can go at their own pace. Drill, positional spar or spar as they wish and what their time and energy allow. There is no pressure or requirement to do anything. But, remember, training jiu-jitsu is about your coaches’ encouraging you to face challenges and be able to handle uncomfortable positions.
– Members can choose to spar in gi or nogi for all classes. We have no strict uniform requirements.
– We are one of the few academies with classes ALL SEVEN DAYS A WEEK for adults.
Improve your PHYSICAL and MENTAL health
Work, traffic, relationships, family. All can be stressors or cause physical or mental health issues.
– Even training just twice a week dramatically improves your physical health. Jiu-jitsu increases flexibility, strength, endurance, cardio and burns more calories than your traditional gym session.
– Maybe more importantly, training helps reduce anxiety and stress. It’s a lot easier to deal with life after getting out of a side control pin.
– We’ve had numerous members lose 50-plus pounds in just a few months. We’ve had members go from not being able to roll to being tournament-ready in just a few months.
After class Q+A
Most academies close after class. We stay OPEN. One of the best parts about our Wolverine community is after class. People helping each other. People talking and sharing stories and common bonds. People asking professors and teammates questions.
We usually stay 30-90 minutes after classes.
